  • faster more speed
  • turn change direction

Talk together

  • What do you want to change?
  • What changed after the bumper?
  • Did your plan work?

Get ready

  • Low cardboard ramp, blocks, soft ball and fixed cardboard bumper; adult-cut pieces.

Safety

  • Roll a soft ball on a clear floor away from stairs, doors and people; never throw it. Short strings stay on the table, never around a body.
  • Only a grown-up uses scissors or cuts cardboard. Keep small pieces out of mouths; use large cards.

How to help

Let your child listen, look and try before you explain. Point to the next picture if needed. Accept drawing, pointing or a voice response; writing is optional. Save the child’s own work with a date.
