Talk together

  • Could this be used again?
  • Where can we use less water?
  • How does your choice help?

Get ready

  • Clean paper used on one side, box, crayons, picture tap and two pretend-water strips.

Safety

  • A grown-up stays within reach of water. Use small amounts in shallow unbreakable trays, away from power; wipe spills and wash hands. Do not drink test water.
  • Do not eat test seeds, plants or materials. No tasting is needed; check allergies and wash hands.

How to help

Let your child listen, look and try before you explain. Point to the next picture if needed. Accept drawing, pointing or a voice response; writing is optional. Save the child’s own work with a date.
