Walk through our museum

Your family's museum cards hang in a warm, lamp-lit gallery. Walk up to each artifact and read its honest label.

This page only looks at the museum cards saved on this device. It never changes them, and nothing is uploaded.

A model, not to scale

Opening the gallery…

Try this

  1. Walk to every artifact. Count how many you visit.

  2. Read a label out loud with a grown-up.

  3. Find a label that says what we are not sure about.

What did you notice?

  • Which artifact is the oldest? How do you know?
  • Which label made you ask a new question?
  • What would you like to find out next?

Tell a grown-up, or draw it in your workbook.

For grown-ups: what this model shows, and what it changes
  • Private and read-only. The gallery reads the museum cards saved on this device by the Museum page. It never changes them, and nothing is uploaded.
  • Not to scale. Photos are scaled to fit their frames.
  • Simplified light. A few warm picture lights follow you as you walk. Farther frames get a painted glow instead, and the soft shadows are painted too, so older tablets stay smooth. Long galleries add more benches. You cannot walk through a bench.
  • Honest labels. Each label shows who made or used the artifact, when, what it shows, and what we're not sure about. Saying what we do not know is part of good evidence.
  • No cards yet? The gallery shows empty frames. Make a card on the Museum page, then come back.
  • Real museum first. Weeks 31 to 36 build your family's evidence museum. Use this gallery to practice reading labels out loud.
